Michał Zagórny – interior photographer
In his work, Michał Zagórny relies on the honesty of natural light and open communication. After many years of gaining experience in the photography industry, he decided to concentrate entirely on interiors and developed his unique style.
Michał Zagórny – interior photographer with 30 years of experience
Michał Zagórny has been a professional photographer for more than 30 years. He initially specialised in advertising and product photography. In 2010, he decided to set up his own business, which resulted in numerous collaborations with publishing houses, advertising agencies and private producers. Such a variety of commissions provided the photographer with constant opportunities for development and allowed him to explore many aesthetics.
One of the challenges he took on was to do a shoot for a real estate brokerage and sales agency run by a friend of his. The first experience with interior photography unexpectedly became the start of a new career path. Today Michał Zagórny works with designers such as Agnieszka Ludwinowska, Karol Smagacz and Marta Chrapka, as well as the OIKOI and RooM19 studios. For the past five years, he has also been working with the Deer Design planning and design office, producing documentation for them for the majority of their projects.
Natural light and attention to proportion
In his works, Michał Zagórny focuses primarily on naturalness. For him, the basis is the appropriate use of daylight, which has always been one of his fascinations. He dislikes photographs taken with a wide-angle lens, which distorts the proportions of the room. His inspirations include some of Michał Mutor’s first photographs for the Murator publishing house, as well as photographs by Tom Kurek and Yassen Hristov.
