AAW studio interior design – Aleksandra Miłowska and Maria Filipkowska
There are two members of AAW studio: founder Aleksandra Miłowska and Maria Filipkowska. The architects met while still at university and have been working together since 2020, designing interiors focused on the well-being of home users.
Fusion of aesthetic sense with technical knowledge and new technologies
AAW studio founder Aleksandra Miłowska is a graduate of the Faculty of Interior Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She also completed her Bachelor’s degree with honours at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw at the Faculty of New Media Arts (major: Interior Design). By her own admission, the combination of artistic development with technical knowledge and openness to new technologies has prepared her well for her work in the industry. At university, she met Maria Filipkowska, who joined AAW studio in 2020.
Interiors that support well-being
The AAW design studio specialises in creating interiors that are, above all, designed to promote good living. Driven by her passion for psychology, Aleksandra Miłowska wants to create spaces that help to calm down, provide a sense of security and are maximally adapted to the lifestyle and taste of the people living there. The duo is open to projects in various styles. They base their work mainly on careful listening to their clients’ needs. The architects strive to be of service with their aesthetic taste and knowledge in order to fulfil the dreams of the investors.
A wealth of experience in the interior design industry
The ‘New York vibe’ flat project by AAW was nominated in the Polish Interiors 2019 competition. The architects are also credited with the interior design for one of the first seasons of the TV show ‘Zgłoś remont’. This experience earned them valuable perspective and new knowledge, which they now use to develop their own studio. Maria Filipkowska also pursued home staging as a career, running the Home Doctors company, and Aleksandra Miłowska had the pleasure of co-developing the design and technical documentation of the CD PROJEKT Cracow office.
