AWITKU Studio – Anita Witkowska
The AWITKU Studio’s founder is Anita Witkowska – an economist by education, who dared to change her life after many years of pursuing a corporate career. A deep passion for beautiful spaces has resulted in her running her business for eight years and developing her skills with a succession of residential and commercial interior projects.
The courage to change – how did the AWITKU Studio come about?
Back in the day when she decided to put her passion first, Anita Witkowska was already in her late thirties. As a result, instead of a five-year degree course, she chose the School of Interiors and Spaces at the Cracow School of Art, which she graduated from in 2016 receiving her ‘Interior Designer and Decorator’ qualification. She then spent a year broadening her knowledge at Dominika Rostocka’s School of Production and Interior Design in Warsaw. Eight years ago, she decided to set up her own design studio: the AWITKU Studio. For the time being, she is a sole trader, but in the future, she would like to expand it enough to be able to employ new staff.
Residential and commercial interior design – focusing on the client’s needs
The AWITKU Studio works for both private and commercial investors. One of her most interesting projects is a business meeting space designed for Motus, one of the leading scooter manufacturers. The project is pending completion. The studio’s portfolio also includes the interiors of a beauty studio in Cracow, a children’s clothing shop and a restaurant in Tarnobrzeg. In her designs, Anita Witkowska focuses primarily on functionality and her priority is to respond to the client’s needs in the best possible way. However, it doesn’t change the fact that she likes to be able to spread her wings and experiment with aesthetics. As a result, every project of hers stands out with a unique combination of practicality and exceptional style that perfectly matches the character of the space.
