PIM Concept – Gabriela Gajek-Zakolska and Dorota Kwiecień

A friendship struck up as a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow developed into a creative rapport and a desire to work together. This is how the PIM Concept studio came to existence, headed by Gabriela Gajek-Zakolska and Dorota Kwiecień. Since 2015, the architects have been working together to design private, commercial and hotel interiors.

From studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow to a co-design studio.

Gabriela Gajek-Zakolska and Dorota Kwiecień – the founders of the PIM Concept design studio – had first met at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. They started to get their first work experience while still at university. After the graduation, they decided to try working together as a duo. This is how the idea for their own studio, PIM Concept, emerged. Today it brings together a team of qualified architects, working together to create projects for both private and public interiors.

Satisfaction in tackling challenges – successes and rewards

Dorota Kwiecień and Gabriela Gajek-Zakolska’s first joint project was the interiors of the Air Hotel in Warsaw, which won the main prize in its category in the 2017 PROFIT HOTEL AWARDS competition. Among the interesting challenges undertaken by the duo from the PIM Concept studio, it is also worth mentioning Aparthotel Lwowska 1, a sizable project involving the design of 150 rooms and communication, as well as a spa area and restaurant. Thanks to their creative approach, despite the limited budget, the architects managed to create a facility that definitely stands out on the accommodation map of Cracow.
