Kreatywne 3 – Ada, Dorota and Agata – are more than just best friends. A few year ago, they met at work. Today they work as one team and dynamically develop their own studio. They have a different education and experience, but what they have in common is their love of beauty, professionalism, love of detail and concern for the well-being of their clients. On completion of the project, one investor admitted that the studio doesn’t just create space, it creates life. Since then, Kreatywne 3 use the slogan as their motto.

Kreatywne 3 – passionate professionals ready to take on challenges

Dorota – an architect by education, an interior designer by choice – took up design at an early age by redecorating her own bedroom and creating dolls’ houses. With the support of her parents, who referred her to trade magazines and enrolled her in drawing courses, she fulfilled her dream of studying at the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning. She then went on to work in one of Cracow’s renowned studios and today develops further with her role as a specialist in demolition and small spaces as part of Kreatywne 3.

Ada worked in a large interior design office for 15 years, where she learnt a great deal about room ergonomics and finishing materials, but the real school of life for her was when she took up a job on a construction site right after university. The practical experience and technical knowledge she gained in this way now pay off with courage, reliability and quality in the creation of her own projects. Agata, who is responsible for the legal and logistical side of each project, began her adventure with interior renovation when she inherited an old house from her grandparents.

The moment their professional paths crossed, there was a spark. Besides their friendship, they also bonded over their willingness to take on challenges and work creatively on their own terms. Today, they use their wealth of experience to do what they do best – support clients in creating exceptional spaces and creating the good life.

What values and outlook guide your design work? What are your priorities in creating interior designs?

Each project starts with a thorough analysis of the client’s needs. We try to clarify all expectations – both design and budget – because being mindful of the client’s budget is particularly important to us. Interior design is a very complex process and the end result is influenced by a myriad of factors. There are also a lot of stressful decisions to be made. We are aware that if they do not hit the mark, they risk costing a lot.

There is more to good design than nice interiors that make an impression. Aesthetics cannot be a single priority, functionalism is equally important. Above all, we focus on ergonomics, even if this involves demolition and alterations to the existing space.

The second important point is individuality – the interior is first and foremost for the people in it. Together with our help, they create the final result. We always try to convince clients to invest in the details. Fine-tuning the interior down to the smallest detail is insanely important to us. In the end, the detail is the proverbial icing on the cake.

Do you have a favourite interior design style? If so, what kind?

We are far from defining a particular style in which we operate. We value the Mid-Century Modern style, the Bauhaus idea or modernism in the broadest sense. We love Berlin interiors and Scandinavian simplicity and functionalism, but we don’t want to limit ourselves. As the name of our studio suggests, we are creative! Naturally, we keep abreast of trends as a source of inspiration, while we strive first and foremost to meet the client’s visions. Each of our designs is original and bespoke! The individual approach ensures the creation of designs that are precisely tailored to the owners’ expectations and lifestyles.

What materials and technologies do you most like to use in your projects?

Every interior presents new challenges. The choice of finishing materials depends on a number of factors, above all budget. However, no matter how much money we have at our disposal, we always ensure the highest possible quality, which is why we are constantly working with the best suppliers. If we are limited by budget and, for example, the client cannot afford a stone worktop, we try to find substitutes so that they still have a sense of luxury and comfort. Fortunately, the range of materials in today’s world is vast. We follow trends, attend training courses and travel to events for architects and designers. We also rely on tried and tested contractors, specialists in various fields, whether carpenters, fitters or, as they say in Warsaw, tilers.

What are your experiences of working with clients? What do you think is the key to a successful collaboration?

We always start our collaboration with the client with a non-committal meeting, where we talk in detail about how the project is going to work. This then shows whether there is going to be the flow or spark. This is why we prefer face to face meetings. We start the design with an in-depth briefing, in which we try to find out the client’s preferences and determine the budget. This is a very important stage in the whole process. At this point, we gather all the necessary output data needed to start working on the project.

We prepare several functional layouts to choose from with the possibility of mixing ideas. Together we work on the most satisfactory solution to create a unique space. After all the design stages leading up to the final project, we offer our clients full support during the completion phase. We take care of the whole process, from start to finish, so the client does not have to worry about anything. Using our experience and the support of reliable suppliers, we offer, among other things, turnkey finishing, which relieves the investor of the burden of supervising and coordinating works, deliveries and subcontractors.

Can you tell us about the most interesting project you have worked on?

In our opinion, the most interesting results come from projects in which the investor places total trust in us and gives us leeway. One such interior we have recently completed was the small (48m2) flat of a young lover of vintage collectables. Above all, we could afford to knock down all the partition walls, which allowed us to create an open space, full of light and breath. The divider between the bedroom and the living room was marked by a partition made of steel-framed glass, fitted with sliding doors and curtains to allow the owners to create a more intimate atmosphere. We were also given a great deal of freedom in the choice of furniture, lighting and accessories, among which there were some real designer gems. It was the details that gave the arrangement its unique character. We are extremely grateful to the investors that we were able to participate in the process of creating this interior from A to Z.

Do you offer a consultation service?

We offer a consultation service to advise on the best possible functional layout, choice of finishing materials, colours and furniture and accessories. A well-designed interior in terms of functionality is the basis of our business! We are happy to assist clients with the layout of the space so that the layout of the rooms is ideal and meets all the conditions of functionality and stylistic consistency.
