Gaining Experience
Monika Staniec graduated from The Wrocław College of Humanities with a degree in Interior Architecture, and the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław with a Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Design, and Scenography. She completed her diploma in the exhibition space design studio under the supervision of Dr. Jacek Kos. As a student, she made the bold decision to establish her own enterprise to initiate her initial autonomous ventures in the design industry. Since then, she has continually grown and taken on new challenges.
Monika Staniec and the genesis of passion.
From a young age, Monika was attracted to creative endeavors, particularly those involving spaces. As a child and teenager, she often transformed her room by changing furniture, painting walls, and applying wallpaper. At the age of nineteen, she commenced her career as an interior decorator for a chain of DIY stores, where she was afforded the chance to execute her initial significant projects for store clients. She admits that the most challenging project she has faced so far is independently designing the interiors of her own home.
Values and Philosophy in Design Work
I strive to create interiors that are pleasant to live in, enjoyable to use, and primarily functional while being beautiful. Interiors that convey a sense of safety and comfort. This idea helps me with projects for both families and businesses. I am committed to ensuring that the interiors I design cater to the requirements of my investors, encompassing practical and ergonomic aspects as well as aesthetic aspects.
Do You Have a Favorite Interior Design Style?
I love combining different styles in my work, and I do it with skill and enthusiasm. I was very fond of modern style until recently, but I am open to different aesthetics. My clients are familiar with how I design. They know my projects and trust me.
What Materials and Technologies Do You Prefer to Use in Your Projects?
I am fascinated by natural materials like stone and wood. But not every project (and budget) allows for using them. I also enjoy designing structures that play with light and atmosphere, adding quality and depth to interiors.
What Are Your Experiences Working with Clients? What do you think makes a good collaboration?
Effective communication is undoubtedly the foundation. Good cooperation with the client depends on awareness, trust, honesty in responses, and openness to the designer’s creativity, all of which contribute to good cooperation.
Could you share with us one of the most inspiring or interesting projects you have worked on?
Currently, in the studio, we are creating a project for the showroom of the Polish brand JUAN. I’m happy that the owner trusted my team and asked us to design the companies headquarters near Wroclaw. This collaboration is particularly exceptional as we are responsible for a completely novel visual quality of interiors at JUAN. We were trusted 100%, as shown by the fact that we did not make a single change after the project was submitted. You can see the results in September.
Does your company provide a consultation service?
Yes, it does.
